4K 60Hz HDMI Fiber KVM Extender

The YINGHUA extender sends 4K 60Hz video and USB keyboard or mouse control over a single LC single-mode fibre up to 10 km. It suits installers who must place a display far from a PC, server or media player.

Build integration and cabling

A transmitter connects to the HDMI source and a receiver connects to the display, each powered by a 5 V 1 A adapter that accepts 100-240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. One fibre core carries both video and USB 2.0 signals, freeing the rack from long copper runs and eliminating the need for separate KVM cabling.

Capacity and headroom

The link handles 4K at 60 Hz, 1080p, 720p and 480p with HDCP 2.2 support, reaching the full 10 km when HDCP and EDID are not active. Protected content paths drop to 300 m, so secure playback scenarios lose the maximum distance headroom.

Questions about this item

How far can the 4K 60 Hz HDMI signal travel over the single-mode LC fibre before it drops to 300 m?

The extender reaches 10 km for standard signals, but HDCP 2.2 and EDID limit the link to 300 m.

What are the power draw and heat implications of running both units continuously?

Each unit draws 3 W from its 5 V 1 A adapter, so total consumption is 6 W with minimal heat.

Which HDMI cables and single-mode LC fibre patch lead must I already have to connect the transmitter and receiver?

You need two HDMI cables for source and display plus one single-mode LC fibre patch cord up to 10 km.
