Extracts audio from HDMI sources up to 3840×2160 at 60 Hz and sends 5.1-channel sound through optical or stereo outputs
The YINGHUA 4K HDMI Audio Extractor pulls the audio signal from an HDMI video source and sends it to analog stereo or digital optical outputs. It handles resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60Hz and complies with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. The unit works with consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series X, plus other HDMI devices. No HDMI output connection is needed for the audio outputs to function.
One HDMI input receives the video source while HDMI output passes the signal onward. A Toslink port delivers 5.1-channel audio when both source and display support it; otherwise stereo PCM is provided. An analog stereo jack is also available. The ARC mode routes TV audio back through the extractor when the television has an ARC or eARC port and is set to ARC output. A selection button toggles ARC on or off. Note that TV remote volume control is disabled while ARC is active.
The device is a compact passive-style converter with no moving parts, so it runs silently in normal use. Power draw is low and supplied via the included adapter, adding negligible heat to a media cabinet. There are no fans or active cooling elements to generate noise. The metal casing aids passive heat dissipation during continuous operation.

It complies with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, supporting resolutions up to 3840X2160 at 60Hz.
It requires an HDMI input from the source, an HDMI output to the display, a Toslink optical cable for 5.1CH audio, and an analog stereo connection if needed.
Connect the TV's ARC/EARC port to the extractor's HDMI out, push the selection button to ARC on, then set the TV audio output to ARC; users often forget to enable ARC on the TV.
