Installation uses the supplied IPEX MHF4 cables.

Compatibility limits

This adapter suits builders adding Wi-Fi to a supported desktop motherboard. It will not work on laptops from Lenovo, HP or IBM. Systems running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 are not supported. Buyers without a CNVio2 Key E slot must look for a different interface.

CNVio2 Key E requirement

The single specification that decides fit is the M.2 2230 CNVio2 Key E connector. Only motherboards exposing that exact interface can use the card. No other slot type will accept it.
