CPU heat sink for PowerEdge R920 and R930

This new heatsink is designed specifically for the Dell PowerEdge R920 and R930 server platforms. It provides the correct thermal interface for the CPU sockets in these models. The part replaces the original 0FVT7F component directly.

Sustained thermal dissipation for multi-socket

The heatsink manages continuous heat output from processors running prolonged workloads in the R920 and R930 chassis. Its construction maintains consistent thermal transfer without throttling during extended compute tasks. Buyers needing active liquid cooling or support for different server generations should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 0FVT7F heatsink dissipate when the PowerEdge R920 runs continuously?

The 0FVT7F is a passive CPU heatsink designed for Dell PowerEdge R920 and R930 servers; thermal performance depends on the chassis airflow and the specific processor installed.

Which mounting hardware or brackets are required to install the 0FVT7F on a PowerEdge R930 motherboard?

The 0FVT7F uses the standard Dell PowerEdge R920 and R930 retention mechanism; no additional brackets are needed if the original server mounting points are present.
