Dell PowerEdge R620 heatsink M112P

This copper-aluminium heatsink is built for the Dell PowerEdge R620 server and fits the M112P 0M112P mounting pattern. It targets administrators who need a direct-replacement cooler for a single-CPU configuration in a 1U chassis. The part is supplied new and ready for immediate installation.

Sustained-load thermal behaviour

Under continuous workloads the heatsink relies on the server's managed fan wall to move air through its fin stack, keeping the processor within its thermal envelope without throttling. Thermal resistance remains stable as long as the system fans maintain their rated airflow. In enclosures with restricted front-to-rear airflow or with missing airflow baffles the cooler cannot dissipate full TDP indefinitely.

Questions about this item

Does the heatsink generate noticeable noise or heat during continuous server operation?

The heatsink is a passive metal assembly with no fan, so it produces no noise and adds negligible heat beyond normal CPU thermal transfer.

What else must I already own for this heatsink to fit and function in my system?

You need a Dell PowerEdge R620 server with the correct CPU socket and mounting hardware for the M112P 0M112P heatsink.
