4K HDMI Extender over Cat5e/6

This HDMI extender transmits 4K video up to 45 metres and 1080p video up to 60 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It includes EDID management for reliable handshake between source and display. USB power cables supply both sender and receiver units without an external adapter.

Sustained 120 metre 1080p transmission

At 1080p resolution the extender maintains a stable signal over the full 120 metre cable run. Signal integrity holds during continuous operation without the dropouts seen on shorter-run devices. The Cat6 recommendation ensures consistent bandwidth across the entire distance.

Cat5e/6 cable distance limits

Qualified Cat5e cable supports the 45 metre 4K range and the 60 metre 1080p range. Cat6 cable extends 1080p reliability to the maximum 120 metre specification. No fibre or active optical option is provided for longer runs.

Questions about this item

How warm does the 4K HDMI extender get when it runs all day?

The unit draws power from a USB cable, so its heat output is low and it stays cool during continuous operation.

What cable must I already own to link the sender and receiver over 120 metres?

You need a qualified Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable; Cat6 is recommended for the full 120 m distance.

Will my older 1080p monitor work with this extender at 60 m?

Yes, the extender supports 1080p at 60 m and includes EDID handling for broad display compatibility.
