  • Product typeHDMI
  • Extends HDMI video and audio up to 20 km over a single SC fiber cable
  • Delivers 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz with latency below 50 ms
  • Supports 3.5 mm stereo audio at 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz sampling rates
  • Handles multi-channel formats including LPCM 7.1, DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD
  • Provides HDMI loop output on the transmitter for local monitoring

Long-distance KVM extension

The YINGHUA HDMI Fiber Extender transmits 1080p video and audio up to 20 km over a single-mode SC fiber cable. It is built for installers and operators who need to place a monitor and console far from the source PC, PS4 or PS5. The kit includes both transmitter and receiver units with US power plugs.

Bundled loop-out and audio

The transmitter provides an HDMI loop output so a local display can stay active while the signal travels over fiber. A 3.5 mm stereo jack carries analogue audio alongside the digital stream. H.264 compression keeps latency under 50 ms and supports sampling rates of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz with 7.1-channel formats.

Resolution ceiling and link limits

The link handles 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz and lower resolutions such as 480p, 720p and 1080i. It stops at 1080p, so users needing 4K or higher refresh rates must choose a different extender. The single-fiber design also means no redundant path if the cable is damaged.

Questions about this item

Will the SC fiber connectors or the transmitter and receiver units need periodic replacement?

The extender uses single-mode SC fiber connectors rated for long-term use; the TX and RX units are solid-state with no moving parts, so no scheduled module swaps are required.

What limits the 20 km link first when the extender runs continuously at 1080p 60 Hz?

The optical link budget of the single-mode SC fiber is the limiting factor; the H.264 compression engine and sub-50 ms latency remain stable across the full 20 km distance at 1920x1080@60 Hz.

How much heat and noise do the transmitter and receiver produce during all-day operation?

Both units are fanless and draw low power from the included US plug supplies, so they run silently with only warm-case temperatures during continuous 1080p 60 Hz transmission.
