HDMI KVM Extender over IP for remote control

The YINGHUA extender sends HDMI video and USB keyboard or mouse signals up to 200 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It works with PCs, laptops and DVRs using standard TCP/IP networking. The receiver unit includes a UK power plug and operates without extra software. Buyers who need transmitters or multi-receiver kits must source them separately.

Resolutions up to 1080p with audio sampling at 48kHz

Supported display modes include 480p, 720p and 1080p through the HDMI 1.3 interface. Audio is carried at sample rates of 32kHz, 44.1kHz and 48kHz. The point-to-point, one-to-many and cascade topologies give flexibility for different layouts. Users requiring 4K or higher refresh rates cannot use this model.

Low power draw and fanless operation in normal use

Each sender and receiver unit consumes 3W from a 5V 1A adapter, producing minimal heat. The hardware-only design runs silently without fans across the 0 to 45°C operating range. IR remote control at 38KHz adds convenience for source switching. Extended runs beyond 200 metres are not supported.

Questions about this item

Can I keep my existing Cat5e patch cables and network switch, or do I need Cat6 and a managed switch for the 200 m link?

The extender follows the 802.3 Ethernet standard and works over Cat5e or Cat6 up to 200 m. A standard unmanaged network switch is sufficient for point-to-point, one-to-many or cascade modes.

After connecting the receiver, how do I confirm the HDMI 1.3 signal and USB keyboard are passing through correctly?

The receiver will output 480p, 720p or 1080p video and the USB keyboard and mouse will enumerate immediately — no driver installation is required.

Does the box contain both the transmitter and receiver, or only the receiver, and are power adapters included?

This package includes one receiver unit and its 5 V / 1 A UK power adapter. The transmitter and its adapter are sold separately.
