Converts HDMI 1.4 input to component YPbPr, RGB, VGA and analog or Toslink audio at up to 1080p with OSD scaling
This HDMI 1.4 scaler converts a digital HDMI source into analogue component YPbPr, RGB or VGA video while extracting stereo RCA and Toslink optical audio. It accepts 1080p input and handles both up-scaling and down-scaling for mixed-resolution setups. An on-screen display assists with resolution selection during installation.
The HDMI 1.4 input runs at 165 MHz with 1.65 Gbps per channel for a total of 6.75 Gbps, restricting use to 1080p and 720p signals. Higher refresh rates, HDR metadata or 4K content cannot pass through this interface. Buyers needing 4K60, variable refresh rate or HDCP 2.2 compliance should choose a different converter class.
Power the unit with the supplied AU-plug adapter before connecting sources; the red LED confirms operation. Audio can be routed independently so sound plays even when the display is off. Common issues include forgetting the external power supply, selecting an unsupported output resolution in the OSD, or expecting 4K passthrough which the 1.4 bandwidth cannot deliver.

Choose 5RCA component when your TV or projector has YPbPr inputs; use VGA for monitors or older displays that only accept RGBHV on a 15-pin D-sub.
The unit can accept a 1080p HDMI signal from the PS4 and scale it up or down to match the native resolution of your component or VGA display.
The 165 MHz per channel limit (6.75 Gbps total) caps the incoming HDMI stream to 1080p at 60 Hz; higher refresh rates or 4K signals will not pass through.
