HDMI Extender Pair for 4K at 60 Metres

This transmitter and receiver set carries a 4K HDMI signal over a single CAT6 cable up to 60 metres. It is built for installers and home users who need to place a PS4, PC or media player far from the display without running long HDMI leads.

Bundled Power Adapters and T-568B Requirement

Two power adapters are included so both ends operate immediately without extra purchases. The supplier notes that maximum distance is only reached when the link uses T-568B terminated CAT6 cable; other wiring standards or CAT5e will reduce the usable range.

Transmission Headroom and Cable Limits

At 4K resolution the extender reliably covers 60 metres on CAT6, with the hardware also rated for 100 and 120 metre runs at lower signal demands. Builders needing longer 4K links or fibre-based immunity to electromagnetic interference will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How far can the CAT6 cable run before the 4K signal needs a repeater?

With T-568B CAT6 cable the pair supports 60 metres for 4K; the listing also mentions 100 and 120 metre options for lower resolutions.

What limits the maximum distance when the extender runs continuously?

The hard limit is the 60 metre CAT6 run at 4K; beyond that the signal degrades and a repeater or fibre link is required.

How much heat or fan noise do the transmitter and receiver add in a closed cabinet?

Both units are passively cooled with no fans, so they add negligible heat and zero audible noise during all-day operation.
