PowerEdge R630 PCIe backplane cable extender

This extender connects the PCIe backplane inside a Dell PowerEdge R630 server. It is designed for technicians and system integrators who need to route expansion-card signals to the chassis rear. The part matches the original K9TVP 0K9TVP specification for direct replacement. No additional hardware is required for installation.

Passive cable assembly with no active components

The unit draws no power and produces no heat or noise during operation. Signal integrity is maintained through shielded conductors matched to the server's PCIe lane layout. Thermal impact on the chassis is negligible because the cable carries only data. Power delivery remains handled by the server's existing supply.

Questions about this item

How is the PCIe backplane cable extender installed in a PowerEdge R630, and which step is most often missed?

Route the extender between the backplane and the riser, then seat both connectors fully; the step most often missed is re-engaging the retention latch on the backplane side.

What maintenance or replacement will the K9TVP 0K9TVP extender need during the life of a PowerEdge R630?

Inspect the cable for cracked insulation or bent pins whenever the chassis is opened for drive or riser service; replace it if any conductor damage is visible.
