Questions about this item

How often should the internal fan be cleaned or replaced to keep the 235 W unit running reliably?

The 235 W supply uses a single internal fan; cleaning dust from the intake vents every six to twelve months is usually sufficient, and the fan itself typically lasts the life of the unit unless bearing noise appears.

Which protection limit activates first when the Optiplex 780 draws continuous heavy load?

The 235 W maximum output is the first ceiling reached; sustained loads above that level will trigger the over-power protection circuit before thermal limits are hit.
