Installing the extension rod

Start the spindle at low speed and increase RPM only after rotation feels stable; rushing the acceleration can introduce vibration from rotational inertia. The package contains only the extension rod, so a compatible milling cutter must be supplied separately.

Capacity and headroom

The rod comfortably handles standard engraving and trimming tasks where additional shank length is required for deeper cuts or restricted access. It runs out of usefulness when the application demands a different shank diameter or when lateral forces exceed what the carbon-steel body can absorb without deflection.
