YINGHUA USB 2.0 Extender Hub

This YINGHUA USB 2.0 extender transmits signals over Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable up to 50 metres. It provides four USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals at a distance. The unit operates at up to 480 Mbps and requires no driver installation. It draws power from an included EU plug supply.

Suits remote USB cameras and peripherals

This extender suits users who need to place webcams, printers, keyboards or mice up to 50 m from the host computer. It works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android and Unix systems. Buyers who need USB 3.0 speeds or more than four ports should look at a different solution. The device does not support longer runs beyond the stated distance.

50 m extension over Cat5e/6 cable

The single specification that decides fit is the 50 metre reach over standard Ethernet cable. The transmitter and receiver pair convert USB 2.0 signals for transmission over RJ45 links. Metal housing protects the electronics during operation. Verify your cable run does not exceed this limit before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the YINGHUA USB 2.0 Extender include both transmitter and receiver units or must the receiver be bought separately?

The package contains the transmitter and receiver units plus a 5V/1A EU power adapter for the transmitter; no additional parts are required for a 50 m link.

When should I choose the four-port model instead of a single-port version?

Will my 480 Mbps webcam keep its full throughput at the maximum 50 m distance?

Yes, the extender maintains USB 2.0 signalling up to 480 Mbps across the full 50 m Cat5e/6 distance without driver installation.
