Extends USB 2.0 signals up to 20 km over FC fibre or 100 m via CAT6 with a four-port hub for webcams, printers and other peripherals
This extender kit transmits USB 2.0 signals up to 20 km over a single FC optical fiber or 100 m over CAT5e/6 cable. It includes a local and a remote unit that work as a paired set without any configuration. The system supports low-speed, full-speed, and high-speed USB devices such as webcams and printers. A US plug power adapter is supplied for operation.
The kit is built for users who must operate USB peripherals far from the host computer, such as in industrial, medical, or secure-facility installations. It also provides remote power control to start, shut down, or restart the connected host. Buyers who only need a standard desktop KVM switch for a single workstation should look at a different product class.
The specification that decides fit is the transmission medium: one FC fiber for 20 km reach or one CAT5e/6 cable for 100 m reach, both carrying USB 2.0 data and low-speed control signals. The link uses the IEEE 568B wiring standard for copper connections. No other video or network interfaces are included in this extender.

The extender pushes USB 2.0 data up to 20 km over a single FC optical fibre link.
The CAT-5E/6 cable must be wired to the IEEE-568B pin-out for reliable operation.
The units work in pairs with no configuration; a slow-flashing yellow Conn LED means they are waiting to link, while a fast flash shows the link is active.
