VGA 100m Extender for Long Runs

This VGA extender kit sends video and audio up to 100 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It includes a sender, a receiver and two EU-plug power adapters. The set suits installers who need to place a monitor or projector far from the source computer.

1920 x 1440 Maximum Resolution

The link supports a top resolution of 1920 x 1440 so the image stays sharp at distance. It does not carry HDMI or DisplayPort signals, only VGA. Builders who need higher resolutions or digital interfaces should choose a different extender type.

Questions about this item

What does the 1920 x 1440 resolution mean when the extender is connected to a monitor?

The extender pair transmits a VGA signal up to 1920 by 1440 pixels over the Cat5e or Cat6 cable, so the attached display can show that resolution at the remote end.

How does the Cat5e or Cat6 cable limit the extension distance in practice?

The sender and receiver are rated for 100 metres over Cat5e or Cat6, so the signal reaches that length without active repeaters.
