VGA to HDMI converter with audio

The YINGHUA adapter converts a VGA video signal and 3.5 mm analogue audio into a single HDMI output. It supports resolutions of 720p, 1080i and 1080p and accepts input from 800 × 600 up to 1920 × 1080. The unit draws power from a DC 5 V source and operates between -20 and 65 degrees Celsius with 5 to 95 percent relative humidity.

Cable length and signal direction

A fixed 84.70 cm cable links the VGA male plug to the HDMI female socket, so no separate cable is required. The converter works in one direction only — VGA source to HDMI display — and cannot pass a signal from an HDMI source to a VGA monitor. Windows 7 and 8 are listed as supported operating systems.

Legacy PCs and projectors needing HDMI input

This suits users connecting older laptops, desktops or security DVRs that only have VGA output to modern TVs, monitors or projectors with HDMI inputs. Buyers who need HDMI to VGA conversion, higher resolutions than 1080p, or a detachable cable should look at a different adapter.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5 mm audio input jack need replacement over time?

The 3.5 mm audio input is a passive port with no moving parts; normal insertions do not wear it out.

What resolution ceiling appears first when the converter runs continuously?

The chipset tops out at 1920 x 1080, so sustained use cannot exceed 1080P regardless of source settings.

How warm does the 84.70 cm cable get during all-day operation?

The adapter draws DC5V and stays within the rated -20 to 65 °C environment range, so it remains only slightly warm.
