X79 server board with Xeon E5-2696 V2

This new X79 server motherboard arrives as a combo kit with a Xeon E5-2696 V2 processor and four 8 GB DDR3 ECC registered modules running at 1600 MHz. The 32 GB memory set is installed and matched to the board for immediate deployment in compatible server chassis.

Kit includes CPU and matched ECC memory

The bundled processor and 12800R-rated DIMMs remove the need to source and validate separate components, reducing assembly time for maintenance or legacy platform refreshes. Builders who require a different core count, newer architecture or non-ECC memory will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

Will the ECC registered DDR3 memory need replacement for capacity or reliability reasons?

The kit includes four 8 GB DDR3 ECC registered modules at 1600 MHz giving 32 GB total; ECC helps detect errors but modules can still fail and may need swapping if errors appear.

What thermal limit appears first when the Xeon E5 2696 V2 runs sustained heavy loads?

The 12-core Xeon E5 2696 V2 will hit its thermal design power ceiling under prolonged full-load work, so adequate case airflow and a capable CPU cooler are essential to avoid throttling.
