20 FT Flat Cat 8 Ethernet Cable

This 20 FT flat Cat 8 Ethernet cable delivers up to 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth for short-distance, high-speed networking. The white SFTP patch cord uses 30 AWG shielded twisted-pair copper with gold-plated RJ45 connectors and a three-prong chip design for stable data transmission. It suits home, office, gaming, streaming, NAS and enterprise-grade networks.

Best for flat-run installs.

The flat profile slips under carpets, through door gaps and along baseboards, making it ideal for renters and tidy indoor runs. Outdoor-rated PVC meets REACH and RoHS, so it also handles exterior routing. Buyers who need longer reach than 20 FT or prefer round cables for conduit pulls should look at other lengths or form factors.

Tool-free push-in install.

Push the RJ45 plugs into any compatible port — router, modem, switch, console, PC, printer or patch panel — with no tools required. The flat jacket bends easily around corners but can develop signal-degrading creases if folded sharply or cinched too tightly with cable ties. Leave gentle curves at bends and use loose hook-and-loop wraps to maintain the 40 Gbps rating.

Questions about this item

What devices must already have RJ45 ports for this cable to work?

Any equipment with standard RJ45 jacks — routers, modems, switches, PCs, consoles, Smart TVs, printers, servers or patch panels — will accept the gold-plated connectors on this 20 ft flat Cat 8 cable.

Will this 20 ft Cat 8 cable run at full speed when plugged into my older Cat 6 or Cat 7 gear?

The cable is backward-compatible with Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 devices, but the link will negotiate to the highest speed both ends support, so older ports will limit throughput to their own rated maximum.

How can I confirm the 2000 MHz bandwidth is actually being used after I install the cable?

Check the negotiated link speed in your OS network adapter settings or router status page; a 40 Gbps connection indicates the full 2000 MHz Cat 8 capability is active.
