Retro 75% Typewriter Keyboard

The YUNZII QL75 is a 75 per cent mechanical keyboard with 84 keys in a typewriter-inspired layout. Its step-sculpted rows and electroplated round keycaps recreate a vintage feel while the hot-swap PCB accepts both three-pin and five-pin switches for easy customisation. It suits enthusiasts who want a compact retro board that can be tailored switch by switch.

Triple-Mode Connectivity Limits

The keyboard connects through USB-C wired, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth, allowing pairing with up to five devices across Windows, macOS and Android. Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz share the same radio so only one wireless link is active at a time; switching between paired hosts requires a manual key combination. The wired USB-C path is the only connection that also charges the internal battery.

Battery Capacity and Switch Headroom

A built-in lithium-ion cell powers the board for extended wireless sessions, though exact runtime varies with RGB brightness and polling rate. The hot-swap sockets support any standard MX-style linear or tactile switch, but clicky switches with non-standard pinouts may not seat correctly. Heavy RGB use will drain the battery faster than typing-only workloads.

Questions about this item

Which switch type should I pick between the Cocoa Cream V2 linear and the Onyx tactile version?

Choose Cocoa Cream V2 for a smooth, linear keystroke without a tactile bump, or Onyx if you prefer a distinct tactile feedback at the actuation point.

How does the 75 % layout with 84 keys affect daily typing and gaming?

The compact 75 % layout keeps the function row and arrow cluster while saving desk width, so you retain essential keys for shortcuts and games without reaching as far.

What does the triple-mode connection (2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, USB-C) actually limit in practice?

The 2.4 GHz dongle gives the lowest latency for gaming, Bluetooth lets you pair up to five devices and switch between them, while USB-C provides a wired fallback and charges the battery.
