Hands-free beige headworn microphone

The YXG A-802 is a lightweight beige earset microphone designed for speakers, performers and presenters who need both hands free while delivering clear vocal pickup. Its single-ear ergonomic frame uses silicone hooks that stay secure without pressure during long sessions. The capsule captures speech accurately with minimal distortion for stage, conference or broadcast use.

Mini XLR TA3F plug for AKG bodypacks

The 1.45 m cable terminates in a 3-pin mini XLR TA3F connector wired specifically for AKG wireless bodypack transmitters such as the PT 40, PT 45, PT 60, PT 61, PT 80, PT 81, PT 200, PT 400, PT 450, PT 470, PT 4000, PT 4500, DPT 70, DPT 700, UT1L and VT2L. This capacitive microphone requires plug-in power from the transmitter; other brands will not work because their internal wiring differs.

Quick fit, verify power first

Slip the ear hook over either ear, position the boom near the corner of the mouth and lock the mini XLR into the bodypack — no tools required. The most common issue is connecting to a non-AKG transmitter or a unit that does not supply plug-in power, which leaves the microphone silent. Always confirm the bodypack model against the compatibility list before use.

Questions about this item

How does the headworn design change the way the microphone is used?

The headworn design leaves both hands free for movement, making it practical for speeches, performances and any situation where the user needs to gesture or handle equipment while speaking.

What does the mini XLR 3-pin TA3F connector limit in practice?

The TA3F plug only works with AKG wireless bodypack transmitters such as the PT 40, PT 45, PT 60, PT 61, PT 80, PT 81, PT 200, PT 400, PT 450, PT 470, PT 700, PT 4000, PT 4500, DPT 70, DPT 700, UT1L and VT2L; other brands will not power or wire correctly.

What physical space does the 1.45 m cable and ear-hook design need to fit?

The 1.45 m cable runs from the headset to a belt-pack transmitter, so the wearer needs enough clearance for the cable length and a secure over-ear hook that stays in place during active movement.
