Ideal for Home Cinema and Hi-Fi

The YYTCG 100-Series Toslink cable connects TVs, soundbars, AV receivers, CD players and speakers using a 1 m polymer optical fibre link. It is built for stereo and multichannel surround formats such as 5.1 and 7.1, plus Dolby AC3 and DTS bitstreams. Buyers who need longer runs or HDMI-only connectivity will need a different solution.

Bandwidth Headroom and Distance Limits

The cable carries up to 250 Mbit/s over standard home-theatre distances, providing ample headroom for lossless multichannel audio and near-zero latency. Signal integrity holds across the full 1 m length, but the polymer fibre is not rated for the extended runs that glass fibre handles.

Gold-Plated Connectors and Braided Jacket

Each end uses a pure copper core with 24K gold plating and a polished convex lens tip to focus light and reduce insertion loss. The nylon braid protects the fibre from kinks and abrasion during routing behind furniture. The fixed Toslink plugs do not support mini-Toslink or coaxial adapters.

Questions about this item

Will this 1 m Toslink cable work with my older AV receiver that only handles 5.1 audio?

Yes, the cable supports 5.1 and 7.1 channels plus Dolby AC3 and DTS, so it will pass the 5.1 signal from your receiver without any extra setup.

How can I verify the 250 Mbit/s link is active after I connect the gold-plugged ends?

Play a Dolby AC3 or DTS test track; if the receiver shows the correct surround format and there are no dropouts, the full bandwidth link is working.

Does the box include only the 3.28 ft braided cable with two 24K gold-plated Toslink plugs, or do I need to buy anything else?

The package contains the single 1 m nylon-braided optical cable with two gold-plated connectors; no additional adapters or cables are required for standard SPDIF ports.
