50 ft Toslink cable for home audio

This 50 ft Toslink cable carries digital optical audio between TVs, soundbars, game consoles and AV receivers. Male-to-male connectors fit standard S/PDIF ports on both ends. The long reach suits living-room runs where equipment sits far from the display. It is not for buyers who need a shorter cable for desktop stacks.

Optical S/PDIF limits at extended length

The optical interface transmits uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats such as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD. Signal integrity depends on the fiber core and shielding rather than electrical bandwidth. Very long runs beyond the rated length can introduce dropouts, so the 50 ft specification marks the practical limit. It is not for installers who need runs longer than the rated distance.

Gold-plated connectors and double-braided jacket

Connectors use 24k gold plating to resist tarnish and maintain conductivity over time. A double braided nylon shell protects the 2.2/5.0 mm fiber core from kinks and abrasion during routing. Triple shielding wraps the conductor for added durability. It is not for users who prefer ultra-thin cables for tight trunking.
