Verify Cable Type and Tester Power

Confirm that the cables you plan to terminate are Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 with standard or pass-through RJ45, RJ11 or RJ12 plugs. The included network tester requires a separate 9 V battery, which is not supplied, so obtain one before you begin testing.

Hand-Tool Ergonomics and Low Power Draw
