Access control reader for outdoor use

The KR600 series reader uses an advanced RF circuit and embedded microcontroller to read ID or M1 cards at up to 10 cm. It delivers high sensitivity, low current draw and fast reading speed for access control, attendance or charging systems. The IP65-rated ABS+PC housing withstands rain and dust in exposed locations.

Power and interface headroom

The unit runs on DC 9 to 12 V with a maximum current of 70 mA, keeping power requirements modest for long cable runs. Two input ports accept external LED and buzzer control signals, while the output provides 26 or 34 bit Wiegand format for direct connection to most controllers. Operating temperature spans -20 °C to +65 °C with humidity up to 90 % non-condensing.

Wiegand output format decides compatibility

The reader transmits card data exclusively in 26 or 34 bit Wiegand, so the host controller must support one of these bit lengths. Systems expecting proprietary serial protocols or other bit widths will not work without an additional converter.
