Purpose and audience

The ZKTECO MultiBio800 is a biometric terminal designed for time attendance and access control in office environments. It verifies identity using facial recognition and fingerprint scanning to manage employee entry and records. The device suits organisations that need a single unit for both clocking-in and door security. It is not for buyers who require a pure time clock without door control outputs.

Deciding specification

The terminal stores up to 400 face templates and 1000 fingerprint templates, with an optional card capacity of 1000 IDs. This combined user capacity determines whether the unit can cover your entire workforce without needing a second device. If your site exceeds these limits you will need additional terminals or a different platform.

Sustained operation

The unit operates continuously between 0 °C and 45 °C at 20% to 80% humidity, powered by a 12V DC 3A supply. Its infrared optical system maintains verification speed in low-light or night conditions without a drop in throughput. The TCP/IP and RS485 links keep transaction logging steady across a full shift, writing up to 100000 records before offload.

Questions about this item

How many people can the 400-face database actually handle during daily clock-ins?

The terminal stores up to 400 facial templates and 1,000 fingerprint templates, processing each verification in under a second using the ZKFace VX7.0 algorithm.

What does the RS485 and TCP/IP connectivity cap in a real installation?

RS485 and TCP/IP links let the unit sit on a LAN or cross network segments, while USB-host allows offline log extraction without a live network.

Will the 12 V DC 3 A supply and 0-45 °C rating fit a standard wall-mount bracket?

The device runs on 12 V DC at 3 A and operates from 0 °C to 45 °C, so it mounts on any flat surface with a compatible bracket and power adapter.
