ZKTeco U260+ADMS Biometric Time Clock

The ZKTeco U260+ADMS is a fingerprint and card-based time clock designed for workplace attendance tracking. It suits small to medium organisations that need reliable employee check-in without complex infrastructure. The device stores up to 3000 fingerprint templates and 100000 transaction records. Optional ID or Mifare card readers extend identification methods for mixed environments.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit operates on a DC 5V 0.8A supply and functions within an ambient range of 0 °C to 45 °C at 20%-80% humidity. With no moving parts and a solid-state optical sensor, it runs silently during normal use. Verification completes in approximately 0.5 seconds, keeping power draw minimal. The compact chassis measuring 192.3 × 138.8 × 42.7mm and weighing 1.1 kg dissipates heat passively.

Bundled Software and Accessories

BioTime software is included for centralised attendance management, scheduling and reporting across networked terminals. The built-in USB-client port allows manual data export when TCP/IP, RS232 or RS485 links are unavailable. Standard functions such as work codes, scheduled bell, self-service query and T9 input reduce the need for third-party tools. Optional external printer and bell modules expand notification options for shift changes.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 192.3 × 138.8 × 42.7 mm unit and connect it to the network, and what wiring step is often missed?

Secure the device to a wall with the supplied bracket, run an Ethernet cable to the TCP/IP port for LAN access, and remember to also attach the DC 5 V 0.8 A power adapter; the unit will not start on network power alone.

Which consumable or replaceable part should I budget for after heavy daily use?

The ZK optical sensor surface is the only wear item; clean it regularly with a lint-free cloth and plan to replace the scanner module if recognition speed drops below the rated 0.5 s after several years.

What is the first limit I will hit if every employee clocks in continuously during a shift change?

The fingerprint template store fills at 3,000 users, so enrolment will stop before the 100,000 transaction log or the 0 °C–45 °C operating range becomes an issue.
