Terminal for fingerprint attendance

The ZKTECO U260 is a standalone terminal that records employee attendance using fingerprint or PIN verification. It connects to a local network through RS232, RS485, TCP/IP or a USB client link. The unit suits small to medium offices that need a dedicated clocking station without relying on a PC.

Stores 3000 templates and 100000 records

Internal memory holds up to 3000 fingerprint templates and an optional 10000 ID cards alongside 100000 transaction logs. Verification completes in 0.5 seconds per touch on the optical sensor. The 3-inch colour TFT screen guides users through the interface. Operation is rated from 0 to 45 °C at 20 to 80 percent humidity.

Includes BioTime software and optional card readers

BioTime software is supplied for centralised data management and reporting. Optional integrated proximity or smart card modules extend credential support to ID, Mifare or HID formats. A USB port allows manual data export when the network is unavailable. External printer and bell interfaces are also supported.

Questions about this item

Will the U260 connect to our existing RS232/485 wiring and TCP/IP network?

Yes, the terminal includes built-in RS232/485, TCP/IP and USB-client ports so it can join legacy serial cabling and modern Ethernet networks at the same time.

How can I confirm the U260 is reading fingerprints correctly after installation?

The 3-inch colour TFT screen shows audio-visual acceptance or rejection cues for every scan, and the device logs up to 100,000 transactions you can review on-screen or export via USB.

Does the U260 package include a proximity card reader or must I order it separately?

The proximity or smart card reader is listed as optional, so it is not in the standard box and must be purchased as an add-on if you need ID, Mifare or HID card support.
