Portable 32-bit float recorder for field audio

The Zoom F3 captures two channels of 32-bit float audio up to 192 kHz through dual ultralow-noise XLR preamps that need no gain adjustment. Its compact metal chassis includes a hold switch, real-time waveform display and standard tripod mount for placement anywhere on set. Videographers and sound recordists gain clipping-free capture from whispers to explosions.

AKG K240 headphones and 32 GB card extend

Bundled AKG K240 Studio Pro stereo headphones plug directly into the recorder’s headphone output for accurate field monitoring without extra gear. The included 32 GB microSDHC card provides immediate recording media so sessions can start straight out of the box. Both accessories address the practical needs of on-location capture and playback.

Metal casing, locking XLRs

A sturdy metal enclosure with slide-resistant rubber feet and durable side bars withstands varied environments while the standard tripod thread simplifies mounting. Locking XLR connectors secure microphone cables against accidental pulls. The unit runs from USB power or eight hours on AA batteries, giving flexibility for long days away from mains.
