Standard Merchandise Bag

This is a high-density polyethylene merchandise bag measuring 13 inches wide, 3 inches deep and 21 inches high. It features a gusseted bottom and die-cut handles for carrying retail goods. The bag is supplied in a flat pack of 500 units.

Sustained load behaviour

The material is rated at .7 mil thickness and offers a usable height of 17 inches when expanded. Under continuous filling the gusseted base allows the bag to stand upright and distribute weight across the bottom panel. It contains recycled content but is not FDA compliant for direct food contact.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive packaging product it generates no heat, noise or electrical draw during use. The bag carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. It is not compatible with bag dispensers and ships flat for storage.

Questions about this item

How does the .7 mil HDPE material hold up when the bag is filled and carried all day?

The .7 mil high-density polyethylene is light yet resists tearing during extended carrying, and the gusseted bottom distributes weight evenly so the bag keeps its shape.

What dispenser or holder is required to use these 13 x 3 x 21 in bags?

The bags are supplied flat-packed and are not compatible with a bag dispenser, so no extra holder is needed — just pull one from the pack.

Will the 17 in usable height work with the smaller produce boxes I already use?

Yes, the 17 in usable height accommodates standard produce boxes and leaves enough room to tie or fold the die-cut handles securely.
