Product Overview

3M 3350-6 is a lightweight packaging tape designed for general shipping and box sealing tasks. It comes in a clear finish and is sold as a convenient six-pack for office or warehouse use. The hot-melt synthetic rubber adhesive delivers a strong bond suitable for most standard shipping applications.

Adhesive Performance

The hot-melt synthetic rubber adhesive provides good initial adhesion that grabs quickly to corrugated surfaces. It forms a strong bond designed to hold through typical transit handling without the need for water activation. This formulation is graded for light-duty use on standard cartons.

Core and Handling

Each roll is wound on a three-inch core and measures 1.88 inches wide by 54.6 yards long with a 2.2 mil thickness. No dispenser is included, so a separate handheld or desktop unit is required for application. The dimensions suit standard tape guns used in packing stations.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.2 mil film need replacing sooner than heavier tape?

At 2.2 mil thickness the tape is rated for light-duty use; plan to replace rolls more often if you seal many boxes daily.

What stops me sealing continuously with a 1.88" x 54.6 yd roll?

The 54.6-yard length per roll is the hard limit — once it runs out you must load a new roll.

Does the hot-melt synthetic rubber adhesive get too soft in a warm warehouse?

Hot-melt adhesive stays tacky in typical indoor temperatures; extreme heat can soften it, so store rolls away from direct heat sources.
