Heavy-Duty Packaging Tape

Scotch 3850-6 is a clear, heavy-duty packaging tape designed for sealing cartons during shipping, packing and moving. It resists slivering, splitting and tearing so a single strip can hold the heaviest boxes closed through rough handling. The roll comes on a three-inch core for standard dispensers.

1.88-Inch Width and 54.6-Yard Length

Each roll measures 1.88 inches wide and provides 54.6 yards of tape, limiting the number of seams one roll can cover on oversized cartons. The adhesive is formulated for corrugated fibreboard and may not bond reliably to plastic film, dusty surfaces or heavily recycled board. Extreme cold or prolonged UV exposure can reduce holding power.

Simple Dispenser Loading

Loading the three-inch core into a handheld or desktop dispenser takes seconds and requires no tools. The tape unwinds smoothly when the blade is sharp; a dull cutter causes jagged edges that can initiate tears. Applying firm pressure along the full length of the strip activates the adhesive and prevents lifted corners.
