Clear foam tape for industrial assembly

3M 4910 is a transparent double-sided foam tape supplied in a continuous roll measuring 5 yards by 2 inches. It operates reliably from -31 °F to 194 °F and bonds to ABS, acrylic, glass, metal, nylon and polycarbonate. The liner is included for easy handling during assembly or repair work.

Suited to maintenance crews and fabricators

This tape fits maintenance teams, automotive shops, aviation technicians and electronics assemblers who need a strong, temperature-resistant bond on flat or slightly irregular surfaces. Buyers who require a narrower width, a different adhesive chemistry or a higher temperature ceiling should consider alternative products.

Check surface and temperature needs

Verify that the substrates you plan to join appear in the compatibility list and that the service temperature stays within the stated range. Ensure the application area is clean and dry before applying the tape for maximum adhesion.

Questions about this item

Does the 2 in wide roll need a specific surface cleaner or primer before applying it to glass or metal?

The tape adheres to glass, metal, ABS, acrylic, nylon and polycarbonate without a listed primer; clean the surface of dust and oils for best bond.

Will the 4910 series stay flexible at the -31 °F minimum temperature if I leave it on an outdoor fixture through winter?

The product is rated for continuous performance down to -31 °F, so it remains functional in sub-freezing conditions.

How can I confirm the roll is performing to its 194 °F upper limit after installation?

The bond should hold without softening or delaminating when the assembly reaches temperatures up to 194 °F during normal operation.
