3M 987 Adhesive Transfer Tape 1/2 in x 36 yd

This roll provides 36 yards of transparent adhesive transfer tape for general maintenance and repair tasks. The reverse-wound construction suits indoor and outdoor use across a wide temperature range. It is aimed at technicians and maintenance teams who need a continuous roll for bonding, splicing and sealing work.

Performance under sustained load

The tape maintains adhesion from -60 degrees F up to 250 degrees F, so it holds during prolonged exposure to heat or cold. The acrylic adhesive resists degradation over time rather than losing strength after a short burst. This makes it reliable for long-term bonds in demanding environments.

Build quality and day-to-day handling

The reverse-wound format keeps the adhesive protected until application, reducing waste and contamination on the job. A continuous roll allows users to cut exact lengths without handling individual strips. The transparent carrier blends into assemblies and simplifies alignment during installation.
