10 Inch 8U Server Rack

The 52Pi DeskPi RackMate T1 is a silver mini cabinet built to the 10 inch standard with 8U of vertical space. It suits hobbyists and small offices that want a compact home for network gear, audio units or a personal server cluster.

Aluminium alloy and acrylic frame

The open construction uses aluminium alloy and acrylic panels to keep weight low while giving clear access to every mounted device. Flat pack delivery with included hardware means the rack can be assembled on a desk without special tools.

Check desk depth and rail spacing

Verify that your work surface can hold a 10 inch wide open frame and that the equipment you plan to mount uses the same rail spacing. The rack has no doors or side panels, so dust and physical protection must be handled separately.

Questions about this item

What mounting standard does the 10-inch wide cabinet use for the 8U vertical space?

The cabinet provides 8U of standard rack-unit height, so any equipment designed for 1U, 2U or similar increments will align with the threaded holes.

What physical clearance is needed to assemble and place the flat-packed aluminium and acrylic frame?

Allow roughly the 10-inch width plus working room on each side; the open-frame design needs no rear clearance for cables or airflow.

How is the flat-packed kit assembled, and which step is most often missed?

Bolt the aluminium side rails to the acrylic panels using the included hardware; the step people skip is tightening every screw evenly so the frame stays square.
