6U Wall-Mount Open Frame Rack

This 6U open frame rack mounts to a wall and accepts standard 19 inch equipment such as switches, patch panels and shelves. Adjustable depth from 13 to 18 inches accommodates deeper devices while the 15.94 inch hole spacing matches common stud centres. Supplied with 24 sets of M6 screws and cage nuts plus assembly hardware.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Cold rolled steel construction with powder coating supports up to 110 pounds of installed gear without deflection. The open frame allows unrestricted airflow around equipment during continuous operation, preventing heat buildup in enclosed spaces. No moving parts or fans mean silent performance under constant load.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Welded steel frame and black powder coat resist corrosion and scratches during routine maintenance. Open sides give immediate access to cable routing and port connections from any angle. EIA/ECA-310 compliance ensures every 19 inch device aligns with the tapped rails for quick installation. Not suited for environments requiring locked enclosures or dust filtration.

Questions about this item

How much heat builds up inside the open frame when gear runs continuously?

The open frame design keeps optimal airflow around the equipment, so heat does not accumulate the way it does in enclosed cabinets.

What mounting hardware must I supply to attach this 6U rack to the wall?

The package includes screws for assembly and mounting, but you must provide anchors or bolts suited to your wall material.

Will my existing 19-inch patch panels and switches fit the EIA/ECA-310 rails on this rack?

Yes, the rails follow the EIA/ECA-310 standard, so any standard 19-inch equipment mounts directly.
