Large 65x39 Inch Fireproof Grill Mat

This 2mm thick mat sits under an outdoor grill or indoor fire pit to shield decks, patios and lawns from heat, oil and water. The four-layer construction combines silicone-coated surfaces with a fiberglass core rated to 2000°F. A non-slip silicone bottom layer keeps the mat anchored even when the grill is moved. Stitched edges prevent curling, tearing or cracking over time.

Upgrade from Thin 3-Layer Mats

Common 0.5mm three-layer mats wear quickly and can shift under a grill. The 2mm four-layer design adds a dedicated heat-resistant fiberglass core and a gripping silicone base for stability. The jump is worth it when you need a mat that stays flat, resists high heat and stays in place on smooth decking or tile.

Covers Standard Grill Footprints

At 65 by 39 inches the mat accommodates most full-size gas and charcoal grills as well as fire-pit bowls. The 2000°F fiberglass core handles flare-ups and falling embers without burning through. Oil-proof and waterproof surfaces make cleanup simple. It is not sized for extra-large commercial smokers or multi-grill outdoor kitchens.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions I need to clear for the 65 by 39 inch mat?

The mat measures 65 inches deep by 39 inches wide and is .08 inches thick, so allow at least that footprint on your deck or patio.

Which side goes down when I lay the mat under my grill?

Place the non-slip silicone bottom layer against the deck; the top silicone-coated fiberglass layers face up to catch grease and embers.

When should I replace the mat if the stitched edges start to fray?

Replace it once the edge stitching fails or the silicone coating wears through, because the 2000°F fiberglass core can then shed fibers.
