48GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM kit for 13th Gen Dell PowerEdge

This 48GB kit contains six 8GB DDR4 2133MHz ECC registered DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. It targets administrators expanding memory in R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 or R930 platforms. The modules run at 1.20V with CL15 latency and a 1Rx4 organisation.

Verify registered ECC support

Your server must accept DDR4 ECC registered DIMMs; unbuffered or non-ECC modules will not work. Check the system manual for the correct slot population order and maximum capacity per channel. Mixing registered and load-reduced DIMMs is not supported, and the system will clock all modules to the slowest installed speed.

288-pin modules without heat spreaders for dense

Each stick uses a standard 288-pin DDR4 form factor and has no heat spreader, allowing tight side-by-side installation in crowded rack chassis. The registered buffer reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping stability when all slots are populated. Handle by the edges to avoid contaminating the gold contacts.

Questions about this item

Does the 48GB kit ship as six 8GB modules or do I need to buy anything else?

The kit includes six 8GB RDIMM modules, giving 48GB total with no extra parts required.

Should I choose the 1Rx4 registered ECC version or a different rank or voltage for my Dell PowerEdge R730?

This kit is 1Rx4 registered ECC at 1.20V, matching the R730 specification; other ranks or unbuffered types are not compatible.

What does the 2133MHz rating mean once the memory is installed in a PowerEdge R630?

The modules run at DDR4 2133MHz CL15; if mixed with slower DIMMs the system will operate at the lowest speed present.
