This 8GB DDR4 module is built for Dell PowerEdge R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 systems. It provides registered ECC memory for 13th generation rack servers requiring 288-pin DIMMs. It is not compatible with desktop or laptop platforms that only accept non-ECC unbuffered memory.

Registered ECC RDIMM with 1Rx4 organisation

The module uses a registered ECC design with a single-rank x4 layout. This organisation is required by the supported PowerEdge platforms and cannot be mixed with load-reduced ECC modules in the same system. All installed modules must share the same ECC type for correct operation.

8GB capacity at DDR4 2133MHz CL15

The single 8GB module runs at 2133MHz with CAS latency 15 and 1.2V voltage. It suits workloads that fit within 8GB per slot; larger datasets or heavy virtualisation will need additional modules. Mixing speeds is possible but the system will run at the speed of the slowest installed module.
