Label Specifications

These 4 x 6 inch thermal transfer labels use a 40# basis weight paper stock. Each roll contains 1000 labels with horizontal perforations every 6 inches. Sensor notches are included for printer alignment. Four rolls are packed per carton for a total of 4000 labels.

Compatibility Check

Suited for general-purpose shipping, inventory and barcode printing where permanent adhesion is required. The acrylic adhesive meets FDA CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact. Not suitable for direct thermal printers that do not use a ribbon. Buyers needing waterproof or tear-resistant synthetic materials should look elsewhere.

Temperature Limits

Minimum application temperature is 30°F with a recommended service range from -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C). This range supports cold-storage and high-heat environments. Verify that your printer and ribbon formulation match these thermal parameters before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What core size and outer diameter do the 4 x 6 in rolls need to fit my printer?

Each roll has a 3" core and an 8" outer diameter, so the printer must accept those dimensions.

How do I load the labels so the sensor notches and perforations align correctly?

Feed the roll with the perforated edge forward and the sensor notches facing the printer's detection slot; the horizontal perf every 6" and the notches must pass the sensor together.

When will the adhesive need replacement due to temperature limits?

The permanent emulsion acrylic adhesive is rated for a service range of -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C) and a minimum application temperature of 30°F; replace the roll if storage or use exceeds these limits.
