A 5-foot IEC C7 figure-8 cable connects two-prong devices such as consoles, TVs, monitors and printers to a standard 125 V AC outlet
This two-prong C8 power cord connects devices with a figure-8 inlet to a standard North American wall outlet. It suits televisions, monitors, printers, game consoles and laptop power bricks that use the IEC 60320 C7 connector.
The package contains a single five-foot cord, so a lost or damaged original can be replaced without ordering a multi-pack. The length lets the device sit farther from the socket than many factory-supplied leads allow.
Plug the female C7 end into the device and the male prongs into a 120 V AC outlet; no tools or drivers are required. The non-polarised blades fit either orientation, but the cord carries no UL listing, so builders needing a certified lead for regulated installs should look elsewhere.

The IEC 60320 C7 connector is a passive moulded part with no moving contacts; it does not wear out under normal use and requires no scheduled replacement.
The 125-volt rating and fixed 2-amp capacity of the C7 connector set the maximum safe load; exceeding that will trip the device's own protection first.
The cord is a passive copper conductor with no electronics, so it generates no measurable heat and draws zero standby power when the connected device is off.
