This acbroad AC0061 cord extends a NEMA 5-15P plug to a NEMA 5-15R receptacle over 3.0 feet of SJTW 14AWG cable. It carries a UL CUL listing and is rated for 125 V at up to 20 A, supporting loads up to 1900 W. The waterproof on-off switch sits inline for convenient power control.

Inline Waterproof Switch Adds Local Power Control

The built-in double-cut switch is rated at 23 A 125 V for North American use and 16 A 250 V for European ratings, letting you cut power without unplugging the device. Molded PVC construction and double-shielded conductors protect the copper wiring in damp or outdoor locations such as pool pump installations.

Suited for Fixed-Location Appliances Needing

Users who want a short, weather-resistant extension with a hands-on switch for equipment like pumps or seasonal lighting will find this cord practical. Builders needing longer runs, higher amperage than 20 A, or a different plug configuration should look at other options.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 AWG conductors or the inline switch need periodic replacement?

The cord uses 14 AWG copper conductors rated for 20 A at 125 V; the built‑in switch is rated 23 A at 125 V, so neither component requires scheduled replacement under normal indoor or outdoor use.

What limits continuous operation at full 1900 W load?

The 14 AWG SJTW cable and NEMA 5‑15P plug are rated for 20 A continuous; the 23 A switch provides headroom, so the 20 A plug rating is the first limit reached during sustained maximum‑power use.

Does the PVC jacket or switch housing get hot during all‑day outdoor use?

At loads up to 20 A the 14 AWG conductors run within their temperature rating; the moulded PVC plugs and switch housing remain warm but not hot, and the SJTW jacket is designed for wet, outdoor environments.
