Performance core

The Acer Nitro 16 is a gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 260 octa-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory. It targets players who want high frame rates on a 16-inch WUXGA panel running at 180 Hz. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD.

Upgrade path

This configuration replaces machines limited to 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB drive by doubling the RAM to 32 GB and quadrupling the solid-state capacity to 2 TB. The jump is worth it when you run memory-hungry titles, keep large game libraries installed, or multitask heavily while streaming.

Build fit

The chassis measures 14.2 by 10.9 by 0.96 inches and weighs 5.38 pounds, so it fits standard 16-inch laptop bags. Connectivity includes three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 4 port, HDMI 2.1 for an external display, Gigabit Ethernet, and a MicroSD reader. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless peripherals, while the 720p webcam and four-zone RGB keyboard cover communication and personalisation.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 16 inch WUXGA 180Hz chassis?

The laptop measures 14.2 by 10.9 by 0.96 inches and weighs 5.38 pounds, so verify your bag or sleeve fits those measurements before buying.

How do I install the 32GB DDR5 and 2 TB PCIe SSD upgrade, and which step is most often missed?

Engineers open the factory seal, fit the memory modules into the two SODIMM slots and the drive into the M.2 slot, then reapply thermal pads; the step most often missed is reseating the pads correctly for GPU and CPU contact.

When will the 720p HD webcam or the 4 zone RGB keyboard need replacement?

The webcam and keyboard are integrated into the top cover; they only need service if the camera module fails or individual key LEDs stop lighting, which typically occurs after several years of heavy use.
