15.6″ QHD 240 Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-55-795C-HID8 is a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Home laptop built around a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB GDDR6. It targets gamers and content creators who need high refresh rates and strong multi-core performance in a portable chassis.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that your existing peripherals use interfaces supported by the laptop's port selection, which includes LAN and WLAN. Confirm that any external displays can accept a 2560 x 1440 signal at 240 Hz over the available video outputs. Ensure your software licences are transferable to a Windows 11 Home environment.

Upgrade perspective

This configuration replaces earlier Helios 300 models that shipped with lower-tier GPUs, slower panels, or less memory and storage. The jump is worth it when you need the 14-core 20-thread CPU, the 150 W max TGP RTX 3070 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, and 4 TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe storage in a single 5.73 lb system.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the 4 TB NVMe SSD and 32 GB DDR5 RAM, or must they be purchased separately?

The 4 TB NVMe SSD (configured as 2 x 2 TB) and 32 GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM (2 x 16 GB) are installed by the builder before shipping, so they arrive inside the laptop.

Should I choose the QHD 240 Hz panel or a different screen option for the RTX 3070 Ti?

The 15.6" 2560 x 1440 240 Hz IPS display is the only panel offered on this model, and its refresh rate matches the GPU's high-frame-rate capability.

What does the 150 W max TGP on the RTX 3070 Ti mean for actual gaming performance?

The 150 W TGP allows the RTX 3070 Ti to sustain its 1510 MHz boost clock longer, delivering higher and more stable frame rates in demanding titles.
