General-purpose 8" scissors

Westcott 15387 scissors measure eight inches overall with a 3.5 inch cut length and pointed tips. Stainless-steel blades are ground on the inside and back edges for smooth cutting. Molded plastic handles fit either left or right hands. The pink colour supports breast-cancer awareness.

Sustained cutting performance

Ground inner and back blade edges keep each cut smooth over repeated use without snagging. The insert is moulded directly into the handles, so the joint stays tight during long sessions. Stainless steel resists corrosion when cutting tape, fabric or paper continuously.

Upgrade from basic office shears

Replaces lightweight scissors that loosen at the pivot or dull quickly on mixed materials. The ten-year limited warranty signals a durability step up from disposable models. Buyers who need longer blades, serrated edges or specialised craft tips should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Do the 8" Westcott scissors generate any noise or heat when used continuously all day?

These are manual cutting tools with stainless steel blades and plastic handles, so they produce no operational noise or heat during extended use.

What must I already own for the 15387 scissors to work?

No additional equipment is required; the scissors function immediately by hand for left- or right-handed users.

Will the pointed-tip, 3.5" cut-length blades handle the same materials as my older general-purpose shears?

Yes, the ground stainless steel blades are designed for general-purpose cutting and match the capability of comparable older shears.
