Sixteen-Speaker In-Ceiling Set

This package contains sixteen 2-way in-ceiling speakers designed for whole-house audio or multi-room home theater installations. Each unit uses a passive design that draws power from an external receiver or amplifier. The set suits installers who need consistent coverage across many zones without running separate amplifier channels to every room.

Pressure-Lock Mounting And Wiring

A Pressure Lock system clamps each speaker to drywall without separate hardware, cutting installation time in typical ceilings. Connections accept raw wire clamps or solder joints, so standard CL3-rated speaker cable terminates directly at the speaker. The 2.8 inch mounting depth fits most joist bays, but verify clearance above the ceiling before cutting the 6.61 inch round holes.

Receiver Power And Impedance Check

Confirm your amplifier delivers between 10 and 200 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load to match the 95 dB sensitivity rating. The frequency response spans 45 Hz to 22 kHz, so a subwoofer may be needed for deep bass in theater rooms. Ensure the receiver has enough speaker-level outputs or a distribution hub for all sixteen speakers.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the R191 speakers are performing correctly after installation?

Play a test tone sweep from 45 Hz to 22 kHz through your receiver and listen for smooth output from each of the 16 speakers without buzzing or dropouts.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately for the R191 16-speaker set?

The box includes 16 speakers with removable grilles and the Pressure Lock Mounting System; you must buy CL3-rated raw speaker wire and a receiver or amplifier providing 10 to 200 watts per channel.

Which version or capacity of the R191 should I choose for my room?

This single SKU is an 8-pair pack totalling 16 speakers, each with a 5.25" woofer and 12 mm tweeter, so choose it when you need full-room coverage with 16 flush-mount points.
