5MP super wide-angle dome

The ACTi E93 is a 5-megapixel network dome camera with a fixed 1.9mm lens delivering a 126.9-degree horizontal overview angle. It captures 1080p video at 30 frames per second and supports H.264 and MJPEG compression. Power is supplied through PoE Class 1, and the housing meets IK08 vandal resistance.

Installers needing wide indoor coverage

This camera suits installers who need a single device to monitor a broad indoor area such as a lobby, retail floor or hallway. The super wide-angle lens reduces the number of cameras required for overview surveillance. It is not suited for installations that require optical zoom, motorised pan or tilt movement, or detailed identification at long distance.

1.9mm fixed focal length

The 1.9mm fixed focal length and F2.8 aperture determine the field of view and low-light performance. The lens provides a 126.9-degree overview angle and a 77.4-degree high-detail angle with a minimum colour illumination of 0.1 lux. This fixed geometry cannot be adjusted after installation.

Questions about this item

What does the 5-megapixel sensor actually deliver when the camera is running?

The sensor captures up to 2592 x 1944 at 15 fps, while 1920 x 1080 runs at 30 fps for smoother motion.

How fast is the Ethernet link and what limits real-world throughput?

The RJ-45 port is 10/100 Base-T, so the wired link caps at 100 Mbps regardless of PoE class.

What mounting space and hardware does the dome need?

It fits a standard 4-inch junction box and meets IK08 vandal resistance for exposed installs.
