Threadripper 9960X 24-core workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X running at 4.2 GHz with 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets engineers and researchers who need high single-thread frequency alongside massive parallel throughput. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and two 10 GbE LAN ports for fast network storage access.

Sustained load on 48 threads

A 360 mm quiet-edition AIO cooler keeps the CPU near its 5.3 GHz boost ceiling during long renders or simulations. Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes without throttling. The Seasonic 1600 W 80+ Titanium PSU maintains stable rails under continuous GPU compute from the RTX PRO 6000 with 96 GB VRAM.

Corsair 5000D frame build quality

The tempered-glass chassis measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, with front and rear 120 mm fans feeding the radiator. Internal bays accept two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives alongside the three M.2 slots. Rear I/O includes two USB4 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 3.2 Gen 1, plus mid-board headers for additional USB 2.0 and SATA devices.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 360mm liquid cooler and 140mm PSU fan during sustained 24-core workloads?

The 360mm Quiet Edition AIO and Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 140mm fan are both specified for ultra-quiet operation, keeping noise low even when the Threadripper 9960X runs at up to 5.3 GHz across all 24 cores.

Which display cables and monitor inputs are needed for the RTX PRO 6000 96GB?

The RTX PRO 6000 96GB requires a monitor with DisplayPort or HDMI inputs and matching cables; the workstation itself supplies the GPU and Windows 11 Pro, so no extra video hardware is needed.

Can I keep my existing SATA SSDs and 3.5-inch hard drives when moving to this TRX50 platform?

Yes, the motherboard provides eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and the Corsair 5000D Frame case includes two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch internal bays for direct reuse.
