Threadripper 9970X 32-Core Workstation

This new Adamant Custom workstation pairs a 32-core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 5080 16GB graphics card. It targets professionals who need high core counts and GPU acceleration for rendering, simulation or AI workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Sustained load behaviour

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while the Corsair 5000D Frame case uses front and rear 120mm fans for airflow. The Thermaltake 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply uses a 140mm fan and Japanese capacitors to deliver stable power with low noise during extended compute tasks. ECC memory adds data integrity for long runs.

Interface practical limits

Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives provide 10TB of PCIe 4.0 storage with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity at SATA speeds. The motherboard supplies two USB4 Type-C ports, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports, and dual LAN connections.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 360mm liquid cooler and 140mm PSU fan run when the 32-core Threadripper 9970X is under sustained load?

The 360mm Quiet Edition AIO and Thermaltake 1200W Gold PSU with its 140mm fan are both specified for low-noise operation, keeping acoustics down during long render or compute sessions.

Does the workstation arrive with Windows 11 Pro already installed and activated so I can start working immediately?

Yes, Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 2TB Samsung 990 PRO boot drive, so the system is ready to use once you connect power, display, keyboard and mouse.

Can I keep using my existing SATA 6Gb/s hard drives and USB 3.2 Gen 2 peripherals with the TRX50 AERO D motherboard?

The board provides eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C connectors, so current SATA drives and USB 3.2 Gen 2 devices work without adapters.
