Capacity & interface

This ADATA LEGEND 960 drive provides 2TB of storage on an M.2 2280 form factor with a fitted heatsink. It uses a PCIe Gen4 x4 link that complies with the NVMe 1.4 standard and works with current Intel and AMD platforms as well as the PS5 console.

Build integration

The drive slots into any M.2 2280 key-M socket and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 systems. Its integrated heatsink removes the need for a separate motherboard shield or additional cooling hardware, freeing up space around the socket for other components.

Thermals & power

The black and gold heatsink uses a sandblasted finish and bronzing trim to dissipate heat effectively during sustained workloads. Sequential transfers reach 7400 MBps read and 6800 MBps write, while the PS5 sees up to 6400 MBps, all within a 1560 TBW endurance rating.

Questions about this item

At what sequential write speed does the 1560 TBW endurance rating apply for this 2TB drive?

The 1560 TBW rating covers the full 2TB capacity at the rated 6800 MBps sequential write speed under normal workloads.

How loud or hot does the included heatsink get during continuous PCIe Gen4x4 operation?

The black heatsink with bronzed trimming uses sandblasted surfaces to dissipate heat effectively during sustained Gen4x4 loads.

Which motherboard slot and key type are required to install this M.2 2280 SSD?

An M.2 2280 M-key slot with PCIe 4.0 x4 or 3.0 x4 support is required for this NVMe drive.
